An Overview on Producer Company Registration

Producer company is a body corporate having its objectives or activities as outlined in section 378B of Companies Act, 2013 and registered as ‘Producer Company’ under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956. Such company is formed with group of farmers/ agriculturist with the goal of increasing their standard of living and ensuring a good status of their income and profitability. There are no separate provisions for producer company under the Companies Act, 2013. It is still governed by the Companies Act, 1956.
